Painted up these fine late war mortar crews from Empress Miniatures.
Hope to get them in action soon. I have also assembled a Sherman for the British.
You've done a cracking job on those Phil!
They both look a treat! Good job.
My the brush must have been but a blur! Painted almost before they were delivered. No need to have bothered with the Hun one mind.
Beautifully done, finely painted, yet the appropriate battlefield look - like them!
Beautiful phil, your camo is great I need to learn how to do it !
Well done, beautiful mortar unit!

Splendid painting Phil!CheersMatt
Thank you all, for the very kind comments, really chuffed that you think they will do.
Those Empress figures are lovely and you’ve done a great job with them.
Indeed, so much character and detail. You can't see in the photo but the Brit loader had a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth.
Lovely work Phil. Two beautiful mortar teams.Cheers,Helen
Hicks' figures would be edit from faces that don't remind me of Elves. Not a fan as you know despite painting a fair few
Edit? Benefit! Bloody autocorrect!
What's with the Elf face fetish, I think you're a closet fantasy gamer🙂
Very nice work Phil.
Thank you Jon.
Splendid looking pair of mortars!Best Iain
Thank you Iain, Mr. Hicks has done a fine job, I trust I have done them justice.
