The game was being played with Black Powder rules with home brew rule amendments. We have done similar for our 1914 games in the past, suitably inspired I have used the RCW amendments to form the basis of using Black Powder for next week's Spanish Civil War game.
Until then.........KBO
Did you have a seat at the table for this game?
ReplyDeleteIt was a demo/display game. I think there was only one participation game at the show.
DeleteA timely reminder that a 1914 game is overdue here in GHQ?
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteA cracking looking game, some great figures and vehicles on show. The armoured train is really very nice.
ReplyDeleteOne of many splendid games on show
DeleteThat is indeed a beautiful game. The basing is lovely and the vertically posed crashed plane a good application.
ReplyDeletePure eye candy. Yes the plane looks brilliant, very evocative
DeleteGreat table and great miniatures! I very interested about your lack Powder amendments for the SCW (Maybe they can be used also for the Rif war)
ReplyDeleteAfter we have used and undoubtedly tweaked them a couple of times I will post them on their own page.
DeleteI will look for it , thanks for your reply Phil.
DeleteIt was indeed a fine display, with some interesting modifications to the BP rules. It will be interesting to see how your game plays out....
ReplyDeleteI am hoping they will lead to a satisfactory SCW game. The Chain of Command variant seems too WW2 for me, modified WW2 rules would fit the bill better I think.
DeleteWWI rules would fit the bill better (fat thumbs)
DeleteTrains, truck, railway and crashed biplane.
ReplyDeleteAnd cavalry units and splendid chaps with standards flying. What a treat to see.
A joy to behold indeed.
DeleteLooks amazing. I have identical orthodox church!
ReplyDeleteOne of the stand out games from many at the show.
DeleteA great looking game in particular the armored train!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Got to love an armoured train, I have always been tempted.
DeleteA fine looking game indeed Phil…
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you were inspired…
All the best. Aly
It certainly got those butterfly wings twitching.
DeleteFantastic stuff, the RCW/BoB is always a spectacular looking period!
ReplyDeleteTroops, tanks, planes, the odd adventurers and flags! What’s not to like.
DeleteGreat looking game Phil, loved seeing the Armoured Train in the flesh. Cheers Stu
ReplyDeleteLike all the games on display it was most inspiring.
DeleteA lovely looking game Phil and inspirational. I have been pondering an armoured train for a while but can’t find one I am happy with yet
