Finished and based these Great War Miniatures figures, sorry about the blurry group shot I deleted the sharp one from the camera by mistake, but at least you can see what is in the pack, three poses two of each pose. I have a few things up on EBay, resin buildings, trees and some odd figures, click on the link opposite if you are interested.
All being well we will be having a late Great War set to at OHQ on Friday, pics and report to follow.

Nice work!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the info on the regimental facings if you don't mind me asking?
I have the Airfix Magazine articles on the Franco-Prussian War, which has the regimental facing colours, these correspond where I have a comparison with illustrations for uhlans in 1914, so used the colour from there. I think it unlikely that they would have changed given the conservatism of the Prussian military tradition.
DeleteThanks Phil. I probably had that very same article many a moon ago..... sadly my Dad thought that all my old 'toys' had to be handed down and all I have left from my 'baby years' is a bashed up copy of the Airfix Nappy Rules :>)
DeleteDismounted Uhlans, I must have missed that release! Nicely done :-)
ReplyDeleteYes I don't think they have ever been announced has available anywhere, I only came across them by chance.
DeleteThanks for the heads-up. I see they're on the web store now :-)
DeleteNice work Phil!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Should go well with your Jagers.
ReplyDeleteThey don't seem to have the dismounted command figures yet, which is both good and bad. Dismounted British cavalry is easy to get in 28mm, dismounted German cavalry is rare (these Uhlans seem to be it), though you could theoretically convert some Germans in Pickelhaubes if they don't have gear. Dismounted French cavalry don't seem to exist.
I look forward to more Uhlan troops and seeing them in action!
Super work, Phil!
ReplyDeleteExcellent looking troops, love your paint job on the clothes...Nice basing too!
ReplyDeleteVery good job!
