First up for the 1940 Germans in 20mm a 8.8cm Flak(sfl) auf Zugkraftwagen 12t (Sdkfz 8) aka Bunkerflak. It is a 3D print from Mardav Models and comes in two parts, the Sdkfz 8 and the 88mm gun to which you have to add the seat and hand wheels.

Next up a 28mm Panzer 1A supplied by Germany to the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War that has been converted to carry a Breda 20mm cannon. Only four were converted this way, the Panzer 1As were supplied in the pre-war three colour camouflage pattern which I have repeated on the modified turret.
A metal kit from Empress Miniatures which also comes supplied with the original twin MG turret.
Until next time……………KBO
I do like the Panzer 1A
ReplyDeleteThank you Neil
DeleteBoth interesting in their own way.
ReplyDeleteGotta love early War vehicles.
DeleteTwo lovely models, both very nicely done as well, I have the Panzer for the SCW in the to do pile, one day I will get it done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Donnie.
DeleteVery splendid additions. It will be a pleasure to sell their fate in a game soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dave. Beware they don't get you first though😂
DeleteI am waiting for Rubicon’s PzI, May do as command tank. Didn’t know about the 88.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is going to be a nice kit. The only problem with the Bunker flak it tended not to traverse to the side to fire as they were not fitted with stabilizers🙄 The crews were trained in how to jump off though 😂
DeleteYou've done a lovely job with both of those. Now, with 3D printing, no vehicle is too obscure to bring to the tabletop - I never even knew the Bunkerflak even existed!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark. 3D printing is a boon to lovers of the many esoteric vehicles.
DeleteThat Panzer I is a gem, and must be a SCW terror as there can't be much anti-tank capability in that war? Don't shoot me, it's not my period.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob. Anti-tank guns were supplied to both sides, I guess it was having them available would be the issue.
DeletePhenomenal work there Phil, with attention to detail second to none! Fine pictures, truly a joy to look at.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the glowing endorsement Paul.
ReplyDeleteNice work Phil 👍
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt. They do one in 28mm😉
