Thought it was time to give some love to the Roman Britain collection and finish off the unit upgrades with these Gripping Beast figures, LBMS shield transfers, this gives the Saxons eight units for Neil Thomas Ancient and Medieval rules, I have started work on the British cavalry which will make them up to eight also.
To give spiritual support here is old Sennekott, an old Steve Salah sculpt if I remember correctly. I am not sure if she is available from anywhere these days.
My wife and I are booked in for our vaccination tomorrow, it appears to have effected some folks ability to paint for a couple of days so there may be a slight lull.
Until next time keep safe and KBO.
Excellent work there, particularly like old Senna! But, don't you mean 8 units, not 8 bases? Good luck with vaccination appointment! You'll be Jabba the (not) Hutte then!
ReplyDeleteThank you old bean, mistook duly noted and corrected.
ReplyDeleteLovely animation in those bases and a nice sized project (Neil Thomas), very do-able.
ReplyDeleteThank you Norm. Early Byzantines next up for NT treatment, already have Goths to oppose them but I am always tempted by Aventines lovely Sassanids🙂

ReplyDeleteIt’s Bill Gates’s nanobots flooding through your veins that make you feel a bit rough ... but once you are under control you will feel fine.
All the best. Aly

DeleteWill I get an upgrade I wonder🙂
Lovely units Phil ....I am sure you’ll be back painting soon. If in doubt prep work is always needed. 👍
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt, indeed there is sure to be something I can tat out if not up to splashing paint.

ReplyDeleteThank you Phil much appreciated, I have just finished a priest to encourage the opposition.
DeleteThese are lovely Phil, I do like those GB sculpts and I have a bunch mixed in with my mainly Footsore.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for the vaccination, my parents did not note any ill effect.
Thank you Paul, my collection is a mix of Gripping Beast and Footsore they go together well.
DeleteVaccination went well very efficiently carried out, arm is a tad stiff at the top and apart from feeling a tad washed out next day feel fine.
