USA

Back home after an enjoyable but hectic tour of the south, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Lynchburg, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas.

Here are a few military related photos from the trip.

Lookout Mountain

New Orleans

 The Alamo

We stayed at The Menger Hotel, next to the Alamo mission, just off the lobby they had this rather nice display of artifacts from the American-Spanish war of 1898.
Accreditation letter reads -

Not sure if there will be a game next week, Dave is ill and I am jet lagged, so it may be just a visit.

  2. Yup, would like to have had an extra day there. We did all the music stuff of course, including the Grand Ole Opry, enjoyed that more than I thought I would, Sun Studios, Studio B and Graceland of course. Standing in mission control Houston was certainly an highlight too, hugging an alligator too :~)

    1. I loved Nashville, always planned to go back but not managed it yet. Lookout Mountain was closed as the NPS had a strike when we got there, grrrr.

  3. Looks like a great trip! I've been to the Alamo many years ago and enjoyed it albeit I wish more of it would have been preserved, but one cannot have everything. I would like to see Look out mountain.
