Games that caught my eye on our visit to this year's show see Dave's blog "Tales from GHQ", link in side bar, for more photos.
Liverpool Wargamers - Saga, Samurai skirmish.
Newbury & Reading Wargames - Nagashino 1579
Wargamers Association of Reading - 2nd Mantinea 362BC
Simon Miller's - 2nd Mantinea 362BC
Wargaming Headquarters? - Rapid Fire Reloaded Normandy scenario.
Loughton Strike Force - Saigon 1968
There were lots more games equally worthy of phographing but one can only do so many especially in the heat.
Until next the post........
TTFN & KBO
Colours 2024??? You are a Time Traveler! Many excellent looking games to look forward to next year.
ReplyDeleteYer, I hit the publish button forgetting I hadn't checked through it. Although we enjoyed this visit and previous ones we felt that like Salute it has run its course for us, but never say never.
DeleteSome fine pictures of the games there Phil. As you say, never say never again...
ReplyDeleteIndeed on both counts
DeleteSome fine photos there and easy to hit publish, only to realise you got something wrong! I thought the show better than last year and it is the easiest for me to get to, so I plan to keep attending. Partizan for example is about 4 hours so quite a commitment to attend.
ReplyDeleteHave to concur that the show was an improvement on last year which was no doubt still suffering from the effects of the plague perhaps?
DeleteThe Saigon modellers deserve high praise for that table, though it is the Rapid Fire reloaded pics that I have returned to (three times now!) …. I like the look of that command base, with the commanders standing around the map.
ReplyDeleteThe Saigon game was indeed a treat, but you can doubt tell from the photo count that the RFR game was my favourite.
DeleteThanks Phil and a nice addition to David’s photos. The two Mantinea battles are lovely and of course the WW2 really catches the eye
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome, the games in display were very fine indeed
DeleteNice looking games Phil…
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the Rapid Fire and the Saigon games… very well presented by the look of it.
All the best. Aly
The Saigon table was a thing of beauty which my photos do not do justice
DeleteI do like the look of the Japanese forces and the Vietnam game is excellent.
ReplyDeleteThe castle was a particularly fine piece, and the mass battle was worthy of Kurasowa.
