I recently completed this Panzer IV Ausf J early production model for my late war German collection. A 1/72nd scale model from Dragon Models.
Completed using AK ackrylic paints and weathering pencils and Mig Ammo ackrylic washes and filters.
TTFN & KBO
That's a splendid addition to the knocked out Kraut tank collection...π
ReplyDeleteWith my luck of late I should have just drilled a hole in itπ
DeleteNicely done. Did you find any advantages of a detailed modellers kit compared to the ‘fast build’ stuff? I like that the models come with decals (why can’t fast build so that?) and have better tracks, but my inclination is always to fast build. I have a JS II and SU 152 ‘slow build’ kits in my box …. But they never make it to the top of the stash :-)
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't too bad a few bits that are a bit flimsy for use in games and a detail that isn't really needed but I gamely glued them on. Italeri do some quick builds with decals.
DeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ray.
DeleteLovely work Phil:).
ReplyDeleteThank you Steve.
DeleteVery nice Phil…
ReplyDeleteI like the camouflage colours…
All the best. Aly
Thank you Aly, the later shades on German AFVs are quite pretty.
DeleteShe’s a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan but will she fight I wonder.
DeleteLovely tank Phil π
ReplyDeleteThe camouflage scheme is so lovely it is almost a sin to see it blow up when it meets the opposition.
ReplyDeleteAlmost.
I can take consolation that they are the bad guys at least.
DeleteNicely done. Hard to beat a Mark IV for looking business-like.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joe. It is a nice workman like vehicle.
DeleteVery nice work there Phil.... excellent weathering! The Schurzen skirts make it look a formidable beast.
ReplyDeleteThank you Paul. The workhorse of the Wehrmacht overshadowed by its more "glamorous" successors.
DeleteVery nice. But as I play USA those crosses make nice targets! LOL Nice paint work. See our blog for some more
ReplyDeleteUS stuff ... http://glasgowwarhog.blogspot.com/
Thank you. The cross is a reminder not to show your side to the enemy :~)
