Achtung Panzer!

I recently completed this Panzer IV Ausf J early production model for my late war German collection. A 1/72nd scale model from Dragon Models.
Completed using AK ackrylic paints and weathering pencils and Mig Ammo ackrylic washes and filters.

  2. Nicely done. Did you find any advantages of a detailed modellers kit compared to the ‘fast build’ stuff? I like that the models come with decals (why can’t fast build so that?) and have better tracks, but my inclination is always to fast build. I have a JS II and SU 152 ‘slow build’ kits in my box …. But they never make it to the top of the stash :-)

    1. It wasn't too bad a few bits that are a bit flimsy for use in games and a detail that isn't really needed but I gamely glued them on. Italeri do some quick builds with decals.

  5. The camouflage scheme is so lovely it is almost a sin to see it blow up when it meets the opposition.

    Almost.

    1. Thank you Paul. The workhorse of the Wehrmacht overshadowed by its more "glamorous" successors.
