I have had a break from painting the Byzantine emperor's entourage while I painted the new Empress Miniatures British and German bailed out tanks crews that arrived last week.
Thank you Jonathan, not sure if they will be used in the short term, most rules just discount tank crew when their vehicle is it or abandoned. There are rules being play tested that looks like they will get a better deal.
Fantastic work there Phil. Not only useful for when bailed out of a tank, but also for times when tank crews did fight as PBI. Lots of skirmish actions spring to mind for these figures:).
Adding my appreciation of your work. If the rules don't use bailed out crew, house rules are called for with these available. The crews could be assets (extra unit) or targets to preserve for use another day. Good looking figures and probably a break from the Byzantine project.
They do look great...Victor may have a point...but house rules can be added to bring these figures into play! The Fkames of War rules do invoke crews bailing out; however, the players next turn, he rolls to attempt they get their pluck back and re enter the vehicle....if the tank is destroyed, so are the crew! I have akways fancied the dismounted RCW armoured car crew by Siberia Miniatures but have hesitated for tge reason of practicality...God knows why, considering the number of supernumerary figures I have in that collection, including the Tsar and some of his family!
Super work, Phil. Will they be bailing out in an upcoming game?

ReplyDeleteThank you Steve, see my comment above. Perhaps in the meantime I can adapt some of the current rules we use.
DeleteVery tidy additions to the collection.
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt.
DeleteNice figures and splendid brushwork Phil.
ReplyDeleteThank you George.
DeleteInteresting addition, and well up to the expected standard, if rather pointless in rules terms.
ReplyDeleteThank you Victor 🙂

ReplyDeleteThank you kindly. The rules in development mentioned above looks like un-wounded crews will have a role in subsequent games🤞
DeleteVery nice indeed 🙂
ReplyDeleteCheers
Matt
Thank you Matt.
DeleteThey look great! And now I have more figs to add to my ever-growing list of mins that I need to order.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's probably as well the range is only added to intermittently at the moment🙂
